Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) delivers 100% pure oxygen in a specialised chamber pressurised 1.5 to 3 times higher than normal atmospheric levels.
- This high-pressure environment drastically increases blood oxygen levels, reducing tissue swelling, fighting bacterial infections, and accelerating tissue regeneration.
- Key clinical indications for HBOT include:
- Decompression sickness (“the bends”) and arterial gas embolism.
- Carbon monoxide and cyanide poisoning.
- Chronic non-healing wounds, including severe diabetic foot ulcers.
